Kurt Russell a punto de reemplazar a Kevin Costner en “Django”

NUEVA YORK (TheWrap.com) – Quentin Tarantino ya haya alineado otro veterano canoso – Kurt Russell – para ocupar el puesto dejado vacante por Kevin Costner en “Django Unchained”, TheWrap ha aprendido.

The Weinstein Co., que distribuye la película en el país, confirmó que Russell está en conversaciones para interpretar as Woody, el villano. Costner dejó vacante el papel debido a un conflicto de programación aparente.

“Django”, ambientada en el oeste del siglo 19, las estrellas Christoph Waltz, Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio y Samuel L. Jackson. Russell se haría cargo de un hombre de confianza para el personaje de DiCaprio, Calvin Candie, dueño de una plantación, donde los esclavos son obligados a luchar hasta la muerte.

Vals juega un cazador de recompensas que compra y luego libera a un esclavo, interpretado por Foxx. Una vez que una flor amistad, el carácter de Waltz se ayuda a Django tratar de rescatar a su esposa.

Russell y Tarantino han trabajado juntos antes, en 2007 el “Death Proof“, en la que interpretó un over-the-Hill Hollywood doble llamado “Stuntman” Mike.

Sony está distribuyendo la película a nivel internacional.

Kurt Russell poised to replace Kevin Costner in “Django”

NEW YORK (TheWrap.com) – Quentin Tarantino may have already lined up another grizzled veteran — Kurt Russell — to fill the slot vacated by Kevin Costner in “Django Unchained,” TheWrap has learned.

The Weinstein Co., which is distributing the film domestically, confirmed that Russell is in talks to play Ace Woody, the villain. Costner vacated the role because of an apparent scheduling conflict.

“Django,” set in the 19th century West, stars Christoph Waltz, Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio and Samuel L. Jackson. Russell would take over as a henchman for DiCaprio’s character, Calvin Candie, who owns a plantation where slaves are forced to battle to the death.

Waltz plays a bounty hunter who buys and then frees a slave, played by Foxx. Once a friendship blossoms, Waltz’s character then helps Django try to rescue his wife.

Russell and Tarantino have worked together before, on 2007’s “Death Proof,” in which he played an over-the-hill Hollywood stunt double named “Stuntman” Mike.

Sony is distributing the film internationally.
