“Inmortales” Review en Español

Vamos a lo primero!  Esta es una película que debe verse en BLU-RAY!  Empecé a ver la película en DVD y estaba muy oscuro y difícil de disfrutar de los efectos especiales. Un día más tarde tuve la oportunidad de verlo en Blu-Ray, la diferencia fue como el día y la noche. No sólo la imagen y el sonido está mucho mejor, que también descubrí que el Blu-Ray cuenta con un inicio alternativo y dos finales alternativos que no se encuentran en DVD. Las ventajas de Blu-Ray en abundancia de características especiales.


Sé que estás pensando “no es otra película basada en los dioses griegos”. Bueno, sí! Sin embargo lo que hace que esta película se destacan de decenas de películas basadas en la mitología griega los dioses es que “Inmortales” se lleva a cabo al comienzo de la época griega antigua, que significa que nosotros como espectadores tenemos la oportunidad de ver cómo la fe en los dioses comenzó, en la teoría por supuesto. También se basa libremente en dos figuras mitología griegas Teseo (el fundador antigua de Atenas) e Hiparión (Uno de los 12 titanes, hijo de Gea y Urano).
El lema de la película es “Antes del amanecer del hombre o la bestia, la guerra inmortales luchan entre sí. Los vencedores nombrarse a sí mismos dioses, mientras que los vencidos se nombran los Titanes”. Y eso es exactamente lo que obtienes. Usted tiene el mortal Rey Hyperón (Mickey Rourke), quien está en busca de una antigua arma poderosa llamada “El arco Epiro”, que tiene el poder para liberar a los Titanes de su encarcelamiento por los dioses para el Rey Hyperón venganza de mayo exacta de los dioses para uso personal motivos. La única cosa que se interponga en su camino es Teseo (Henry Cavill-futuro Superman) un joven guerrero intrépido y la virgen de Oracle Fedra (Freida Pinto).

Como he dicho antes lo que hace que esta película se destacan de las películas anteriores sobre los dioses griegos es que vemos a los dioses más jóvenes apenas madurando y muy preocupado por el destino del hombre. Los dioses de la película están en segundo lugar a los mortales en la historia de Teseo e Rey Hyperón. El papel de Dios en la película es para hacerle saber que están ahí viendo el hombre y se preocupa sin embargo, no puede interferir. Usted ve un muy joven Zeus advirtiéndoles a los otros dioses “no interferir en los asuntos mortales” en lo que parece ser un joven y nuevo monte Olimpo con vistas a la Tierra. La película también se centra en la fe y cómo la fe es el mejor aliado durante las horas más oscuras. No me malinterpretéis, no es una película religiosa sólo tiene un pequeño mensaje que es bueno tener fe.
Lo que no he mencionado aún es la acción y efectos especiales. Las secuencias de acción son muy entretenidas y gráfica como lo fue en “300”. Los efectos visuales son geniales! Y a diferencia de “300” esta película es en 3D así que si tienen un televisor 3D y Blu-Ray una gran ventaja que lleva  la película a otro nivel. Si usted no está interesado en los efectos especiales, entonces se puede disfrutar de Mickey Rourke, quien agregó que su mezcla especial de actuar en el género de fantasía o se puede disfrutar de nuevas estrellas Henry Cavill como el héroe Teseo y la bella Freida Pinto (Slumdog Millionare). De cualquier manera es una película muy entretenida!

“IMMORTALS” REVIEW

First things first!  This is a film that must be watched on BLU-RAY!!!  I began to watch the film on DVD and it was very dark and difficult to enjoy the Special Effects.  One day later I had the opportunity to watch it on Blu-Ray the difference was like Day and Night.  Not only was the picture and sound much better I also discovered the Blu-Ray features an Alternative Beginning and Two Alternate endings not found on DVD. The perks of Blu-Ray are Special features galore.


I know you are thinking “not another movie based on the Greek Gods”.  Well yes! However what makes this film stand out from dozens of films based on the Greek Gods Mythology is that “Immortals” takes place at the beginning of the Ancient Greek Era which means we as viewers get to see how the Faith in the Gods began, in theory of course.  It is also loosely based on two Greek Mythological figures Theseus (The Ancient Founder of Athens) and Hyperion (One of the 12 Titans, son of Gaia and Uranus).
The slogan of the film is “Before the dawn of man or beast, immortals wage war against each other. The victors name themselves Gods while the vanquished are named Titans”.  And that is exactly what you get.  You have the mortal King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) who is in search of an Ancient powerful weapon called “The Epirus Bow” which holds the Power to release the Titans of their imprisonment by the Gods so King Hyperion may exact revenge on the Gods for personal motives. The only thing that stands in his way is Theseus (Henry Cavill-Future Superman) a young fearless warrior and the virgin oracle Phaedra (Freida Pinto).
As I mentioned earlier what makes this film stand out from previous films about the Greek Gods is that we see the Gods very young barely matured and very much worried about the fate of MAN.   The Gods in the film are second to the mortals in the story Theseus and King Hyperion.  The Gods role in the film is to let you know that they are there watching Man and are worried however cannot interfere. You see a very, I mean very young Zeus warning the other Gods “not to interfere in mortal affairs” on what seems to be a young and new Mount Olympus over looking at the Earth.  The film also focuses on faith and how faith is the best ally during the darkest hours. Don’t get me wrong it is not a religious film it just has a small message which is good to have faith.

What I have not mentioned yet is the action and special effects.  The action sequences are very entertaining and graphic as it was in “300”.  The visual effects are great!  And unlike “300” this film is in 3D so If you have a 3D TV and Blu-Ray a major plus which take the film to another level.  If you are not interested in special effects then you can enjoy Mickey Rourke who added his special blend of acting to the Fantasy Genre or you can enjoy watching up and comers Henry Cavill as the hero Theseus and the beautiful Freida Pinto (Slumdog Millionare).  Either way it is a very entertaining film!

PARK CITY, UT 24 de enero 2012 – Fox Searchlight Pictures presidentes Nancy Utley y Gilula Stephen ha anunciado hoy que la compañía ha adquirido los derechos mundiales de la inspiradora historia verdadera la madre sustituta. Dirigida y escrita por Ben Lewin, el sustituto estrellas John Hawkes como Mark O’Brien, Helen Hunt como Cheryl Greene Cohen y William H. Macy como el padre Brendan. La película fue producida por Judi Levine de Suchmuch Films y Stephen Nemeth de Rhino Films y está programado para ser lanzado en el 2012.

An ambitious promotion of Fox proposes to recall some of his best games throughout the year with launches thematic solidarity tour, competitions with valuable prizes and a raffle millionaire.

The campaign of Fox Home Entertainment, which began in February this year, allows us to reach out and connect with the film in a different way, while the study reviews the extensive catalog of movies with special releases on Blu-ray and DVD solidarity toured throughout the country with the donation of one million DVDs to organizations that will end with the draw of one million dollars from consumers in the promotion.

The “Year Of A Million Moments,” a million years now, aims to rediscover the most popular and successful titles from Fox through monthly releases grouped by themes, from romantic titles that came out in February, the month of love, to the scariest horror movies of October, the month of Halloween, to hilarious comedies were launched in March, and a selection of the best music last July. Movies can be viewed and purchased through the website http://www.foxconnect.com/millionmoments.
